The vendors, files and notes the company runs on, out of the inbox and into one place.
The supplier's rep is a contact in the owner's phone. The cut sheets are in email. The standard operating procedure is on a laptop that went home. Every technician asks for the same PDF every week.
Where the day goes now
- Ordering depends on who remembers the rep's number and what was agreed on price.
- Submittals, cut sheets and code references are attached to old emails and found by scrolling.
- Ideas, checklists and half-finished notes live in five notebooks and none of them are shared.
- The field has no reliable way to reach the current version of anything.
What Resource changes
- Vendors and Subcontractors. A directory of suppliers and subcontractors with their contacts and files, visible to the whole office, and a performance view of what each subcontractor's jobs earned.
- Tech Tools. The gauges, meters and testers you issue, by type, with who has each one and the files that go with it.
- Team Tracker. A map of where every field technician is, or was at a chosen moment, from the positions the field app reports.
- File Storage. Company files in a folder tree, with the current version in one place.
- Scratch Pad. Shared free-form notes that anyone in the company can read and edit.
- Library. Folders published to named users and to the field app, so a technician opens the right form on their phone.
Directory
A vendor or subcontractor record holds its address, contacts and uploaded files. A job can be given to a subcontractor, and Subcontractor Performance compares jobs, revenue, cost, gross profit and margin per subcontractor over a date range. Tech tools are defined by type in Admin, kept in a store, assigned to and returned from technicians with the custody history, and a tool's readings can pre-fill the matching inspection questions in the field.
Team Tracker
The field app reports each technician's position while they work. Team Tracker shows those positions on a map for any moment you choose, stepping through the day, and the same positions feed the Show My Team layer on Dispatch and the Emergency map.
Library
Library folders are curated by the office and granted to individual users. A person sees only the folders they have been granted, in the office app under Home and on the Library tab of the field app, and the server enforces the grant on every file read.
Bottom line
Less time looking and no wrong versions in the field. Small on any one day, and it happens every day.
