Stop driving back to the office to send a quote. Close the repair on site.

A service quote can be built and sent from the technician's phone before the truck leaves the lot, and a project quote is priced from the same catalog, labor rates and margin rules the office uses. The margin is on the screen before the quote goes out.

Three places a quote comes from

  • Service quotes. Every deficiency an inspection finds is a record; the Quote Queue holds the jobs still waiting to be priced, and the quote attaches the deficiencies it covers. See the Jobs module.
  • Project quotes. Installation and construction work is quoted from items, assemblies and labor rates with the margin rules you set, then converts to a project when won. See the Projects module.
  • Contract pricing. A recurring inspection agreement carries its own line pricing and frequency, so the jobs it generates are already priced. See the Contracts module.

What is inside

  • Service quote builder. Line items from the catalog, custom items and inventory, each with cost, margin and sell, created and sent from the field app or the office.
  • Project estimating. A bill of materials from catalogs and assemblies, labor by position, equipment, expenses and subcontractors, with cost, margin, profit and sell shown per category.
  • Supplier catalogs. Catalogs loaded from a file or synced from a supplier's API, with cost and list price history per item.
  • Labor rate card. Rates by position, labor group and labor category, built from wage, fringe, burden and overhead, so labor is costed rather than guessed.
  • Margins per office. Default margins by business segment for project quotes and by item source for service quotes.
  • Branded documents. Proposals and service quotes are rendered from your own Word templates with your logo and terms.
  • Review. A quote submitted for review is approved, rejected or sent back with changes requested, and the decision is recorded.
  • Change orders and history. A change order is a child quote under the won quote, and the History log keeps who changed what.
  • Customer response. The customer opens the service quote from a link or the portal, sees the PDF, and accepts or rejects it; an accepted quote becomes the service job.
  • Quote analytics. Pending, quoted, won and lost counts and values, close rate and average margin, a weekly snapshot, and performance by labor, parts and material, equipment, expense and subcontractor. See the Analytics module.

Bottom line

The repair of what you found is the highest-margin work in the company, and it is the easiest to lose between the clipboard and the office. Quoting from the field, from one catalog, with the margin visible, is how the finding becomes an accepted job instead of a competitor's phone call.
