InspectSync and Inspect Point are not the same kind of product. Inspect Point describes itself as fire protection inspection, service and invoicing software. InspectSync is the system a fire protection company runs the whole business on: the sales pipeline and every customer, building, system and asset; the agreements that generate the inspection jobs; scheduling, dispatch and routing; the inspection itself, its report, its deficiencies and the repair quote; installation projects; invoicing, payments and collections; inventory by van, extinguisher stock, fleet, timesheets and PTO; and the month-end, forecast and technician numbers, all on one set of records with every module included.

The table below compares the part the two products share. The section after it covers what InspectSync runs that an inspection tool does not. Everything stated here about Inspect Point comes from Inspect Point's own site or a named review site, accessed on 22 October 2026; where Inspect Point's material is silent on a capability, nothing is claimed either way.

Who each tool is for

InspectSync is for the fire and life safety contractor that wants one system for the whole company, from a six-technician shop to a multi-branch operation. The office works in one web application; technicians work in the mobile app or the browser field app; customers see their reports, deficiencies, quotes and invoices in a portal. A finding in the field becomes a deficiency on the building, a quote in the queue, a service job on the dispatch board and an invoice in the billing queue without anything being re-keyed, and the same records feed the contracts, the projects, the inventory, the fleet, the timesheets and the forecast. Every module is included in one per-user price.

Inspect Point describes itself as fire protection inspection, service and invoicing software for fire protection contractors, with a native iOS field app and a web back office. It covers sprinkler, fire alarm and security, extinguisher, suppression, special hazards, backflow, and fire doors and life safety trades in the United States and Canada. Plans start at three technicians (or one or two technicians running more than 400 inspections a year), enterprise plans start at fifteen, and the company says its largest single deployment has more than a thousand technicians.

What InspectSync runs beyond inspections

None of the following is part of how Inspect Point describes its own product. In InspectSync it is all included, on the same records as the inspections.

  • Contracts. Agreements with line pricing, fee tiers, exclusions and clauses, frozen at acceptance, that generate the inspection and service jobs they owe, raise subscription invoices on their cadence, and renew or raise a reminder before they expire.
  • Projects. Installation and construction work quoted from catalogs, assemblies and a labor rate card with the margin visible, reviewed and approved, then run as phases and punch lists with approved hours measured against the estimate.
  • CRM and National Accounts. The sales pipeline of companies, deals and activities ahead of the customer record, and the management company above its buildings with its own agreement, service catalog, bill-to and portal.
  • Billing. Not just the invoice: the queue that guarantees nothing finished goes unbilled, the ledger, aging, collection notes, credit hold, customer credits, Square mirroring and two-way QuickBooks payments.
  • Operations. Inventory by store and by van with transfers and deduction on job completion, serialised extinguisher stock across shop, vans and loaners, fleet maintenance schedules and costs, timesheets allocated to jobs and projects, PTO balances and internal support tickets.
  • Analytics. Month In Review, a six-month trend, revenue, cash, capacity and obligations forecasts computed from the contracts and quotes you already hold, quoting performance, a technician scorecard, a Monday digest and a plain-English AI analysis that returns a chart.
  • Home and Resource. Each person's day, week, work and approvals, team chat with the field, a library published to the technician's phone, vendors, subcontractors, tech tools and a map of where the team is.

When to choose which

Choose Inspect Point when inspections are the part of the business you want software for and the rest runs elsewhere; your field runs on iPads and needs to inspect without a signal; you need the Canadian ULC, Joint Commission or DNV form sets; you are large enough to want territories and an enterprise plan; or your accounting runs on QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 100 Contractor or ComputerEase.

Choose InspectSync when you want to run the business, not just the inspections, in one system: the agreements that owe the visits, the projects, the billing, the inventory, the fleet, the timesheets and the forecast on the same records as the findings; your technicians carry Android phones or iPhones and you do not want to buy iPads; you want proposals, work orders and every other module in one plan rather than gated by tier; or you want to see what you will pay before the demo.
